Rupee Remains Stable Against US Dollar, Gains Against Euro
The Pakistani rupee (PKR) remained stable against the US Dollar (USD) today, opening trade at 278 in the interbank market.
Throughout the day, the rupee held steady and closed positively against the greenback. Additionally, it made gains against several other major currencies during the trading session.
The interbank rate fluctuated around 278/$, ultimately closing at approximately 277.72 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar. Open market rates across various currency counters ranged between 278 and 281.
So far this fiscal year, the PKR has appreciated by 0.22 percent.
In the interbank market, the rupee demonstrated strength against most major currencies, though it closed lower against the UAE Dirham (AED) and the Saudi Riyal (SAR). It also lost two paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD). However, it gained 61 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD), Rs. 1.06 against the British Pound (GBP), and Rs. 1.44 against the Euro (EUR).
