Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition Could Launch on October 21
A fresh addition to the Galaxy lineup is on the horizon, as Samsung gears up for a product launch next Monday. While the tech giant has kept the device’s name under wraps, industry insiders speculate it could be the much-anticipated Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
Samsung has piqued curiosity with a video teaser, which you can watch below.
Since there is no confirmation regarding the name, debates continue over whether it will be dubbed the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition or carry the more specific title of Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition.

Adding to the intrigue, a recently leaked image suggests that this new model will boast a slimmer profile compared to its counterpart, the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6. This aligns with older leaks which expected the device to be called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim.
According to leaked specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition should come with a 200MP camera, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, and a 6.5-inch outer screen. The main screen on the inside should be 8 inches and the chassis should have IP48 protection.

The device will measure 4.9 mm when unfolded, which is not record-holding thin, but still very close to the thinnest foldable, the Honor Magic V3, measuring 4.4 mm. It should be 10.6 mm when folded.
Now that Samsung has confirmed the launch date, we expect to see more teasers ahead of the Monday announcement. Rumor has it that the new foldable is only meant for China and South Korea, but we hope that is not the case
