PTCL Group Launches Pakistan’s First 800 Gbps Per Wavelength Super C+L WDM System

In a groundbreaking move towards enhanced connectivity, PTCL Group, Pakistan’s leading integrated ICT provider, has introduced the country’s first 800 Gbps per wavelength Super C+L Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) system. This innovative technology marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s digital infrastructure, offering faster and more efficient data transmission.

With a remarkable data capacity of 64 Tbps per fiber, scalable up to 96 Tbps, the Super C+L system represents a transformative leap for the country’s digital landscape. Developed in partnership with Huawei, this system expands the optical spectrum to 12 THz, compared to the traditional 4.8 THz, providing significantly greater bandwidth.

By integrating high-speed 800 Gbps wavelengths, an ultra-wide Super C+L spectrum, and advanced Flexible Grid optical switching, PTCL is setting a new benchmark for connectivity and positioning itself as a leader in the digital transformation of Pakistan. This launch is expected to accelerate technological growth, fostering greater innovation and efficiency in various sectors across the country.
