Meta AI Will Soon Save Your WhatsApp Chats to Add More Features
WhatsApp’s Meta AI is set to introduce a new Chat Memory feature designed to enhance user experience by allowing the AI to remember previous chats. This capability will enable it to provide more personalized responses by referencing relevant context from your conversations.
Meta AI aims to evolve its chatbot into a more personal assistant with the addition of Chat Memory, which could significantly enhance the experience for WhatsApp users.
As reported by WABetaInfo, who frequently shares updates on WhatsApp features, a screenshot demonstrating the Chat Memory feature has been revealed. The feature was initially spotted in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.18.18.
This functionality could be particularly beneficial for users who struggle to recall important dates or deadlines. However, it also raises privacy concerns, as many users may not want AI systems to store their data. To address this, users will have control over what information is saved and can specify which details should be excluded.
It remains unclear whether the data collected from WhatsApp will be accessible on other linked platforms like Facebook or Instagram. Meta AI operates across all three platforms—WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram—offering similar features.
Currently, this feature is still in beta, and wider availability is expected at a later date. Stay tuned for more updates!
