Asus ROG Phone 9’s Official Launch Date Announced
Following the recent official release of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, smartphone manufacturers are quickly announcing the launch dates for their upcoming flagship devices. Asus has joined this trend by revealing that its ROG Phone 9 series will debut on November 19th at a dedicated event starting at 12 PM CET (4 PM PKT).
Asus has released official renders of the ROG Phone 9, which closely resembles the design of its predecessor, the ROG Phone 8 series. The new phone features a distinctive pentagon-shaped camera module housing three sensors, along with a gaming-oriented aesthetic that showcases ROG branding and LED lights.
The front of the device boasts a flat display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Additionally, the right side of the device includes pressure-sensitive AirTriggers, also marked with ROG branding.
Asus has teased new AI features for the ROG Phone 9 series, promoting the launch event with the tagline “AI on, game on.” While specific details about these features remain under wraps, more information is expected in the coming days. We’ll keep you updated as the launch date approaches.
The ROG series is known for its high-end specifications, and aside from the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, we can anticipate the usual LTPO AMOLED display with a high refresh rate and 1080p resolution. Memory options are expected to reach up to 1 TB of storage and 24 GB of RAM, while the battery is likely to be at least 5,500 mAh or larger with fast wired charging capabilities.
While camera quality has historically not been a focal point for gaming phones, Asus might surprise us this time around. The upcoming AI features are likely to enhance gaming experiences and image editing capabilities.
