Android 15 is Breaking Google Pixel 6 Phones
Last week, Google started rolling out its latest operating system, Android 15, to eligible Pixel devices. Unfortunately, this update has not been without issues, as many Pixel 6 users are reporting a serious problem: their phones have become completely unresponsive, or “bricked.”
This issue appears to occur randomly, leading some users to speculate that it may be related to the Private Space feature. Two Reddit users reported that their Pixel 6 devices bricked after activating this feature. However, another user noted that their phone bricked during normal usage, suggesting the cause could be more complex than initially thought.
All reports regarding the Pixel 6 bricking issue indicate that the devices are entirely unresponsive, and standard troubleshooting methods have proven ineffective. While these cases seem to be isolated, the severity of the problem raises concerns. If you own a Pixel 6 and have not yet updated to Android 15, it may be wise to hold off until Google addresses the issue.

Already Arriving on Motorola Phones
In a twist of events, other OEMs, including Motorola, have started rolling out Android 15 to their smartphones ahead of Google. Traditionally slower in delivering updates, Motorola is changing its approach. The company has announced that most devices in its recent Edge 50 lineup will receive five years of major OS updates, and these updates will be delivered promptly.
Motorola has already begun distributing Android 15 beta updates to select Edge 50 Fusion devices, with other models in the Edge 50 series likely to receive these beta updates soon.
