Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah Invites Argentina Football Team to Lyari

The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has formally invited the Argentina football team to visit Lyari, a vibrant neighborhood in Karachi celebrated for its deep-rooted football culture.

In a recent meeting with Argentine Ambassador Sebastian Sayus, the two leaders discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between Sindh and Argentina. A spokesperson for the Chief Minister indicated that Argentine investors are expected to visit Sindh soon to engage with relevant governmental departments.

Chief Minister Shah emphasized the attractive investment opportunities in Karachi, particularly in water projects. He noted that the Sindh government has secured $50 million from the World Bank for initiatives aimed at treating saline water. He urged private investors to participate in treating seawater for urban supply.

Ambassador Sayus expressed interest from Argentine stock exchange companies in investing in Sindh, especially in the establishment of warehouses. In response, the Chief Minister instructed the Investment, Food, and Irrigation Departments to collaborate closely with the Argentine ambassador.

To strengthen cultural and sports ties, Chief Minister Shah invited the Argentina football team to train at Kakri Ground in Lyari. During the meeting, it was also decided that a football team would be developed in Sindh, with prominent players from the Argentine national team participating in training matches in Lyari.
