Xiaomi 15 Ultra to Bring Enhanced 200MP Zoom Camera Compared to Its Siblings
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to launch separately from the other models in the series as always. The company is anticipated to release the 15 and 15 Pro later this month, while the 15 Ultra will likely debut in January, creating a shorter gap between the launches compared to the previous year.

One of the most notable features of the Ultra is its 200MP telephoto camera, which has been the subject of speculation for months since tipster Ice Universe first hinted at it. Unlike the vanilla Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, which will come with 50MP 3x cameras, the Ultra will offer significantly more power in its telephoto setup.

According to recent tips from Weibo, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s 200MP camera will have a 100mm lens, delivering approximately 4.3x magnification and an f/2.6 aperture. This is a shift from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which featured a 50MP 120mm periscope lens with 5x magnification and an f/2.5 aperture. The new telephoto system on the 15 Ultra offers a higher resolution but slightly lower zoom magnification.
In addition to the 200MP module, the Ultra will also include a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, which is identical to the one found in the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. All three models will run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (or the Snapdragon 8 Elite whatever it is named). This new chipset will enhance the phones’ image processing capabilities thanks to improvements in the ISP (Image Signal Processor) and NPU (Neural Processing Unit).

These features make the Ultra a significant upgrade over its predecessor, bringing enhanced camera performance and processing power to the flagship lineup.
