Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Camera Will Look Like Z Fold 6’s, Ultrawide Camera Getting Upgraded
Recent rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra hinted at significant camera upgrades, but the latest reports indicate that only the ultra-wide camera will see a boost. The device will feature a 50MP ISOCELL JN3 sensor for the ultra-wide lens, while the rest of the camera setup will remain largely the same.
Camera Setup Details
- Main Camera: The Galaxy S25 Ultra will retain the impressive 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor.
- Telephoto Module: The 10MP telephoto lens will continue using the Sony IMX754 sensor.
- 5x Zoom Module: This module will maintain its 50MP IMX854 sensor.
A Fresh Look for the Cameras
Despite the lack of significant upgrades, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera design is getting a refresh. Leaked images from Ice Universe reveal a new aesthetic for the camera lenses, now encircled by a thick, dark ring. This change lends the phone a bulkier appearance, aligning with the design seen in other S25 model renders.
Notably, the camera layout mirrors that of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, albeit without the pronounced camera bump, as the S25 Ultra’s setup is designed to sit flush against the phone’s back. As a result, phone cases will create a completely flat surface, contributing to a sleeker design.
Enhanced Ergonomics
While the camera layout remains familiar, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature more rounded corners and improved ergonomics, making it lighter and narrower compared to its predecessors. Though the design feels recognizable, subtle adjustments have been made to enhance the overall user experience.
The Galaxy S25 series is expected to make its debut in January 2025
