Pakistani IT Firms Set to Participate in GITEX Later This Month, Aim to Generate Leads Worth $500 Million
The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) has announced that major Pakistani IT service providers, startups, and exporters will participate in the globally recognized GITEX event in Dubai, scheduled for October 14–18.
P@SHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed highlighted the significance of GITEX for Pakistan’s economy and IT exports, noting that the event will feature representation from the IT sector across 180 countries, with over 200,000 trade buyers of IT services, 65,000 top-level IT executives, and 7,000 multinational companies from the IT and allied industries. Syed expressed optimism about generating leads worth up to $500 million for Pakistan.
He also pointed out that the participation of P@SHA members in the Pakistan Pavilion, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication (MoITT), Tech Destination Pakistan, and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), has led to Pakistan being named the Tech Destination of the Year for the 2024 event.
Muhammad Umair Nizam, Senior Vice Chairman of P@SHA and Chairman of the Brand Committee, emphasized that innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusion are essential for the rapid growth of the IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) industry.
According to P@SHA Secretary General Nadeem Malik, notable Pakistani exhibitors and delegates at GITEX include Quixas Technology Pvt Ltd, Wateen Solutions, AutoSoft Dynamics, KODERLABS, Dynamics 360, Creation Next, and Bits Collision, among others.
